The Day of the Dead festival is accompanied by rich and colourful decorations. Festival celebrators tend to believe that death is something that should be celebrated in a lively way, and not something to be afraid of! This year celebrate ed in a lively way, and not something to be afraid of! This year celebrate The Day of the Dead in Sugar Skull spirit with our colourful Sugar Skull inspired personalised gifts for all.
- Calling all ghosts
Finally, our 3rd inspiration is from Honk Kong featuring the festival of the Hungry Ghosts.
It is believed to be a time when the spirits roam the world for 24 hours. In Hong Kong the festival is called “Yue Lan”. Some people burn pictures of fruit or money at this time, believing these images would reach the spirit world and bring comfort to the ghosts. Fires and candles are lit. Celebrations involve offerings of food and gifts to the ghosts.
